Okay I need some input but please don’t make this into a immature male/female bashing thing.

I need the opinion of male guppies but ladies you are more than welcome to contribute.

Would you guys be offended, sad, happy or how would you feel if a girl proposed marriage to you because typically it is always either the guy or his family. By that I mean that, the girl proposes marriage to you and than has her parents come to your parents house? It is safe to assume that the girl and guy know each other pretty well and do see each other in that aspect of liking one another more than as friend, so it’s not just some random stranger. Would that be weird or being too forward or just wrong?

yes, actually wifey said the L word before I did. And although she did not propose she had made it fairly clear that if the relationship wasnot headed towards something serious, then it was a no go. Although I did the formal proposing.

I did have someone else propose to me before that, but it was a no go due to different issues.

belle, didn't Khatija propose to our Prophet pbuh? Islam doesn't say the man has to propose, it's all about equal rights!
