Prophey Khizr & Prophet Idrees (pbut)

Salam brothers & sisters,

Can anyone post some information on these 2 prophets? Thanks in advance.

ws.

assalamoalikum :jhanda:

prophet khizar (elayhissalatuwasalam) are going to stay alive on this earth until qiyammat, they live in the water (samundar main behteey hain) and prophet idrees (elayhissalatuwasalam) are alive in the heavens until qiyamat.

there is a funny story behind hazrat idrees’s stay in the heaven.

it goes like this…

once hazrat idrees wanted to see the heavens with his eyes so they asked allah (eizowajal) for permission and when that was granted a farishta (angel) accompanied them to the heavens, before entering the heaven hazrat idrees took of his shoes/slippers and went inside the heaven and he was mezmorised with allah’s beauty and when it was time to leave the farisha took him back, on the way, hazrat idrees said to the farishta that they had left their shoes/slippers behind in the heavens and asked if he could go get them, when granted permission they went into the heavens and stayed there. allah (eizowajal) said to the farishta that idrees has fallen in love with my heavens so let him stay in there alive until the day of judgement. wowwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

so in other words hazrat idrees tricked the farishta and got away with it by deliberately leaving behind his shoes/slippers in the heavens.

to the best of knowledge this is true i apologize for my mistake allah (eizowajal) if i have stated something that is wrong or out of porpotion

ofcourse both of these stories have more gossip than truth, but thats all that is known....

especially being alive of both these prophets is very debatable....

armughal...Your Emaan is strong but your knowledge needs a little work...Hadhrat Khizr (AS) or Khidr (AS) is mentioned in the Quran...Surah 18:60...I have not heard about Hadhrat Ilyas though...I'll look around...

I am not sure if Al-Khidr is same as Khizr..but read surah Qahf's translation, as it sheds light on the 'mystical' powers of Al-Khidr. The word (I think) means everlasting green, and he is described as the teacher of Moses who taught him about patience and Looking beyond what's obvious.

If he taught Moses, absolutely , he must have been a wise man!

Hazrat Musa (AS) was the ONLY prophet who could talk to Allah (SWT) directly, AAG. He was called ‘Kaleem-Ullah’, or ‘the one who talked to Allah (SWT)’…There was no Gabriel (AS) involved, just direct talk…And according to the Quran, Hazrat Musa (AS) used to ask Allah (SWT) the most questions…Why this, why that…So you can imagine how wise Musa (AS) must have been…Yet, even prophets of Allah (SWT) have been shown humility by Him…According to one Hadeeth, Musa (AS) once looked at a lizard and asked Allah (SWT) ‘why did you make that creature?’, to which Allah (SWT) replied, “The lizard is asking me the same thing, Musa…”…:hehe:

Here’s the full incidence which transpired AAG…

Prophet Idris (Enoch) [PBUH]
Allah's Praises of Enoch
Allah has praised Enoch, describing him as being a prophet and truthful: And mention in the Book (the Qur'an) Idris (Enoch). Verily! He was a man of truth, (and) a prophet. And We raised him to a high station. Surah 19: 56-57

Birth and Teachings
Enoch was born and raised in Babylon following the teachings and religion of Prophet Adam and his son Seth. Enoch was the fifth generation of the Prophet Adam. He called the people back to his forefathers' religion, but only a few listened to him, while the majority turned away.

Prophet Enoch and his followers left Babylon for Egypt. There he carried on his mission, calling people to what is just and fair, teaching them certain prayers and instructing them to fast on certain days and to give a portion of their wealth to the poor.

He was the first of the Children of Adam to be given prophethood after Adam and Seth (PBUT). It is reported that he was the first to invent the basic form of writing.

Khidr

The Quran does not mention his name. In the Quran he has been described as the servant of Allah. We found out about his name from the Sayings of the Prophet (PBUH).

Khidr a human, a prophet or an angel?
We do not know if he was a human, a Prophet or an Angel. He was entrusted by the Almighty to enforce His directives in accordance with His scheme and will. To Musa (Moses PBUH) the things he did seemed illegal. Allah had sent Musa (Moses PBUH) to Khidr to learn.

Allah Knows best!

I am not too sure if you are right laeeq. Surah Qahf does talks in detail about the encounter of Musa with Khidr, although, I cannot remember the exact wording of his name in arabic. I will come back with more verses and the details of Musa's encounter with Khidr..
