marrying off 9 year olds to 50+ year olds wasn't the norm.. and considering the Holy prophet was setting an example for his entire Ummah to come, such an act clearly sets a precedent. You can't pick and choose saying. He married widows.. so copy that.. but he naoozobillah married and consummat marriage with a 9yr old and that's an exception only for him.
