prophet jesus {pbuh}

1} did they really drink “wine” and feed their followers bread + wine?

I dont know if there is enough written about Prophet Isa(AS) that an appropriate answer can be given regarding that. Atleast in Islamic literature. I could very well be wrong however.

I have read that some of the Sahaba (RA) during the Prophet's(SAW) time did infact have wine, until it was prohibited in the Qur'an. I read that some of them upon hearing its prohibition, took the wine out of their homes and started pouring out the bottles on the street. Allahu Alam.

I was just assigned to read the bible at school, and it has lots of wrong stuff in it. We kinda have the same basic stories but they changed most the stories and said all this crap how Jesus created wine out of water at this wedding then everybody drank it.

Remember that the Quran is the original unedited book of God, the Bible has been edited.

I hear the Bible has many versions and it is updated a lot. Do they have commercials on religious channels saying get the new Bible 9.0 new and improved? Or do they just pass out new Bibles at church every month or something?

Prophets were the messengers of God they would never do anything like drink wine, astugfirullah

The opposing point of view is that the The Bible was the original book of God and the Quran was the edited copy. It's just faith that determines the point of view.

Prophets were not perfect people and they sinned. Why is it so hard to believe they may have drank wine?

as per christianity jesus = allha or incarnation of allha as human
while muhamed name is not mentioned in bible.technically we use time
as before christ or after christ.

SEMINOLE u r wrong. prophets' of allah have not been given the authority to sin so basically they can't sin if they tried. there is a hadith which backs this point of mine up but i don't have it.

i agree with MUNNI'S point about alcohol not being prohibited "at the time".

Prophets were men. All men sin. You either have a much lower threshold for what is considered 'sin' or you equate mere mortals with God. Find the hadith if you must, but I refuse to believe all of mans' questions are answered definitively by a collection of sayings as written by people who had no directives from God.

Muslims believe in the Bible, the original one. Now it has been edited by priests and other people. Quran is also the book of God how is it edited? It has the original scipt with no added suras or anything.

I read the Bible at school I know the stories from it and also know the same stories from the Quran. The ones in the Bible have been changed. Does the Quran say that Prophet Isa served wine at every meal as the Bible does? If u read the Quran then read the same stories in the Bible u will see the difference.

demitre, on your original question, there are Christian faiths (or sects if you want to call 'em that) who consider wine mentioned in the gospels as metaphorical. Namely the Southern Baptists, and so they do not consider drinking permissible.

Did you also know that Pentecostal women are not suppose to cut their hair while the Orthodox Christian women are suppose to cover their heads with a scarf?

^ no man didn't know that
