Property prices

Whats the most desirable sector of Islamabad to live in these days? And what should you expect to pay for a reasonably sized apartment there?

hello shahreen,

some years back, F- Sector used to be the most expensive one, that however still is, but I think now the new Sectors, I-Sector right now I think, the most desired one.

For an apartment, I think you'd have to have great luck to find one, some years ago I think they were building some apartments on the road that goes to Faisal Mosque, I think I even saw them still unfinished on my way there during this year.

If u want I can look around when I am there the next time and u know when that is! ;)

Saadia, if its not too much trouble then yes I would really appreciate it. Hopefully someone will be able to let me know in the meantime.

We got plots in F sector. :smokin:

Great so you must have some idea of prices etc? Pm me if you don’t want everyone to know how much money you make.

I’ve been to islamabad just once so don’t know much about that place.

I came accross an add on PrimeTV for some lux appartments they’re building. I think they’re located in F-sector…whatever that’s supposed to mean.

You can find more information on this website:

Thier main site is http://www.karakoramenterprises.com.pk but it ultimately takes you to the above link after making you suffer through a useless long flash thing.

Thanks sky, very useful indeed.

hskhan, thanks for the pm.

Shahreen, these apartments that sky posted are just so wonderful... 4 bedroom, marble floor, wide terraces, marbala view ect... I called to ask for the prices ... 8.000.000 Rs. sigh the price is okay for that place , I bet its a good investment also. I would have gone for it myself, if I hadn't invested my money for my place here. Maybe some years later, but then they will be double their price.

There are lots of options, most people cant afford to rent a whole house so there are tons of houses where you can rent just the upper floor or lower floor and there are tons of nice apartments furnished or non.

Saadia, they are gorgeous aren't they? Maybe when I win the lottery. At this moment in time I think those places are too big and expensive for us.

shahreen, yes they certainly are and the location is great too, maybe if I rob a bank then I can get one of those and I have been bugging my family members, that I am getting one of them .. :D . Also F-Sector in Isb. brings back some childhood memories.

I don't know if u can rent that place, but if you have some start capital, 25% of the amount, the rest is paid in rates, like 10% every 4 month. I think if you are not going to live there, then if you rent that place and eventually you can make a good investment, as the prices will be getting higher in the near future, (but keeping in mind the pro and cons of rental apartments)
