Right up my alley…my husband and I own two residential properties (one investment that is on rent, the other we live in but is nearly paid off, so it’s about to go on rent when we move) and then my siblings and I inherited two more rental homes from my late mother’s Estate.

We’re lucky that our area didn’t suffer much from the “bust” so we’re clearing a decent amount after factoring in insurance, taxes etc on two of the properties…the other is at breaking even for now, so nothing is going out of hand on it. Being a newer townhome helps, I’m not suffering much on maintainace.

We’re kind of old school on in this sense…I’m a firm believer in real estate investing, if you play your cards right and know what you’re doing.

Investing in tangible asset such as properties is a safe, long term method which eventually your kids will benefit from..
