Re: Proper use of english

idhar sab he aflatoon akathay huay huay hain

o maasi, in the given scenario, u’ll use ‘in’

I’m in bed.
He’s in bed…

but then again if u replace is by a manji, u’ll say,

i’m sleeping on the manji :stuck_out_tongue:

the choices u gave in ur original post,
I am sleeping in the bed would be the right choice.

challo kahani khatam.

And armughal, some people talk in their sleep, so it isnt impossible. Aiwain he theoriyan na maro.

Re: Proper use of english

aik se aik chawal bhara hei iss thread main..except me :snooty:

very funny answers though.

Re: Proper use of english

I'm sleeping in bed
I'm in bed
I'm sleeping on the bed

I think if "bed" becomes an object (like when used with "the"), rather than a state you're in, you say "on." Otherwise it's "in."

Re: Proper use of english

Just say whatever feels right. What is proper anyway?

*Captain Lota has been in bed all morning *(This one gives a bigger picture showing the lazy slob didnt bother to get out of bed.)

Captain Lota has been on the bed all morning (This one shows him placed on a bed but doesnt necessarily say if he is sleeping or simply lying down and doing something constructive like write out plans for World Lota Domination . The lack of information given by this statement automatically disqualifies it from the Captain Lota's dictionary)

Sincerely,
Captain Lota
