If you consider it off topic to mention the things that the prophet didn't do because of inventions, then don't use the argument that it is preferable to eat with your hands when inventions make it much easier to not eat with your hands today.
As I said before..........Islam allows you to use tools to eat if you want to.........Why is it preferable to eat with right hand bcoz Our Prophet Muhammad(SAW) used to use his right hand to eat.
Why we imitate Prophets bcoz they are the best of humanity.
