So I was at a get together recently. Someone, who buys and sells cars, mentioned that now is the time to get the propane kit installed because you can save a ton of money. I was just really surprised to hear it that it can be done in Canada. He said, you can do it, people are doing it and it’s very safe.
What are your thoughts on it?

In Pakistan it is known as LPG (Liquified Pertroleum Gas)… Propane or Butane is mostly used in Rickshaws… once my Uncle installed LPG kit in his car.. well there was a prominent change in Acceleration and Speed… They GOT BETTER WITH PROPANE 
also the mileage increased…
but there are certain problems that occurs… even I myself experienced them… Firstly, there are less number of Butane Stations, the second and most irritating problem is Rusting… as it’s a much cool fuel, automatically it produces water outside the fuel-line, which with the passage of time cease fuel-line and filters…thirdly, In-lets and Jets will be carbonized that causes NO COMBUSTION…
also, once you converted ur automobile to LPG, then ur petroleum line will go dead, as it will also cease bcoz of corrosion…

But But how will CNG/LPG equiped car will start in -30C?

^ Propane is far different in chemical properties from CNG…
though -30C is a problem but not as CNG…
