UK has agreed sell $4.5B worth of advanced aircraft, weaponry and logistic support services to Saudi Arabia. This comes in close heels to a large sale of military equipment by the US to Saudi Arabia. Granted KSA is flush woth money given the current oil prices because of which they wouldn’t even feel a tiny pinch with a few tens of billions of dollars spent this way.
But within a very short span of time they have accumulated enormous military muscle.
It is clear that they are planning ti become a real regional power.
Are you talking separate sales from the Tornados' from earlier? The saudis are really buffoons for throwing away all this money. I am very sure that they are not getting any ToT with it either so in the end, it is a waste unless there is a saudi-iran war, which I still don't see happening.
why would they spend so much money on defending themselves...when they can have their sugar daddy Amrika come in save their hinds!
It is just to buy influence for the royals with the governments. Americans / brits etc. are profiting on their gullibility. I think the russians are also trying to push their products like flankers to the saudis.
Buy so much arsenal and in the time of need call your daddy Uncle Sam to save their asses from any regional aggressor...so wat do they do with all these arms sales...
