Re: progrestrone
Progesterone is a type of a hormone. It is produced in many parts of the body but the ovaries produce the most amount of it. I'm guessing in your case, it is not related to brain, glands or otherwise but perhaps to your menstruation cycle. So let's focus on that. Ask your doctor why he/she believes your progesterone is low. Go to a gynecologist as well. Only he/she can tell you what is exactly the matter. If you have irregular periods, it's probably caused by low progesterone. Have it checked out. There are several ways to bring your progesterone levels back up. Your doctor may prescribe you pills or creams depending on what he/she finds. If it's only the progesterone that's the problem, it's an easy fix but only your doctor can do a proper diagnoses.
On a side note, you could also be pregnant. If that's a possibility.
yes she gave me pills but still i m not pregnant i want pregnancy and i m not satisfied with my doctor
Re: progrestrone
If you go to a fertility specialist, they will do a "day 3 progesterone test". This is a blood test to check the level of progesterone on the 3rd day of your cycle. As I remember, it has to be at least 10, maybe 12. Mine was 4 and I was therefore unable to conceive. So get your levels checked at the proper time even while taking the pills. The best treatment is a suppository cream called Crinone, its expensive but works very well.
Re: progrestrone
my doctor recommend me pills only and i am so much woried
Re: progrestrone
If your doctor have already given you the treatment for your low progesterone then stick with it but if you are not satisfied then go for a second opinion.
and why aren't you satisfied yet?
how long have you been taking pills?
Re: progrestrone
Low Progesterone means U have anovulatory cycles which is probably the reason that you are not conceiving yet.........
We usually do a blood test on Day 21 of ur cycle to check for progesterone levels.....
as well as a Day 2 , FSH level to assess ur hormones.
There are several fertility drugs to help u ovulate however you need to see a Specialist as these drugs need to be monitored in the form of ultrasounds for follicular tracking so that you do not have an exaggerated response to them........They are called ovulation Induction agents broadly and we usually start off with Clomid and then work our way up to more potent ,injectable forms.........
If U have had any tests that U would like interpreted just PM me and i'd be happy to help........however I would advise U to stay with an Infertility Specialist at a recognized centre rather than wasting ur time "doctor -shopping " as these treatments take time and if u keep switching doctors u end up receiving the same treatment over n over again without success.......
