I can change my sign and and sign on as a beautiful 18 years old girl.....but that's not going to change the fact that I am a fat, hairy, oily man sitting behind the screen. There is no way to guarantee whether the person behind the nick is a male of a female. We have male members that openly have female sign and female members that openly have male signs. :D
