Definitely the above. As well as the fact that there are such widespread rumours about how actresses and actors use sex
as a weapon to get ahead in the fim industry. Obviously since none of us work in such places we can't say this for sure but it has
such taboos related to it. Even though if an actress/actor does a similar scene or wears equally as revealing clothes in a drama it
isn't frowned upon, maybe because the televisionindustry hasn't yet been tainted with rumours...

Because when we see other women certain thoughts come to our mind, and we can't allow the same thoughts coming to the minds of other men when they see "our" women ;)

I certainly wouldn't want my daughter (or son) becoming a model. I want her to dedicate her life to something that is valuable and worthwhile, a profession that is not about materialism and superficiality. I do not want her valued simply for her physical charms. She is a beautiful baby, mashAllah. People say I should enter her in contests, but the idea makes me feel uncomfortable.

^^ And that's exactly how I feel as well.
It's none of my business what other people choose to do with their lives, but I personally wouldn't want my children, boys or girls, to be in that like of work.
