Re: professional Pedicures but at Home....
i just soak my feet in water that has some shampoo in it to loosen up the skin then scrub with a pumice stone and put some mosturizer on afterwards
You can apply nail polish on it afterwards I normally just put on a light colour or clear polish
The pumice stone scrubs away the dead skin cells so i find after i do it it usually has the same effect as getting it done by a professional

well i remove the dead skin and soak them in hot water with a foot soak mixed in.
but a we have to do a pedicure every 10 to 14 days to keep the feet healthy so i've been doing that but i want to do what the professionals do, nobody does this??

that's all they do in the professional spas/salons? I thought maybe they add more products that are especially for the health of the feet
ok then thanks, that's essentially what i've been doing too.

what type of chinese herbs do you use, well i'm on a student's salary right now, if not if i was in pakistan i would be at your salon first to get a pedicure
do you wrap the feet in foil while they are soaking in the foot soak or afterwards?

Re: professional Pedicures but at Home....
I have a pedicure tub I use frequently in between professional pedicures. This is what I do:
I fill up my tub with hot water and put in sea salt or bath salt...salt is a great exfoliator.
I take off my nail polish, apply cuticle cream to my cuticles and let them soak a while longer.
I have cuticle clippers, nail clippers, pumice stone, buffer, file, cuticle pusher and toe separators. You can buy these things easily at a pharmacy...manicure kits for $6 or $7 or so.
I clip my toe nails, buff, file, clip cuticles and push them back. Once I get the desired shape, I wash them and make sure there arent any rough edges.
Apply polish and clear top coat.
Dont move for 15 minutes.
:)
I do this on Friday nights in front of the TV with an awesome movie.

Re: professional Pedicures but at Home....
Gina had a good recipe for a foot soak in another thread:
Soak u're feet in warm water to which u've added 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
A good scrub is:
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
and enuff orange juice to make a paste..
