Would you consider this shirt professional? Can I wear this to an interview??? And also if I am going to an association meeting which the theme is “professionalism” would this shirt be alright to wear with white pants and black closed toe shoes?
Re: Professional Clothing
Depends on what u r interviewing for.I would definity do it under a suit jacket though...But if u r going for a professional interview...just to be on safe side..I'd stick with the classics..Nuetral button down shirt, and nuetral pants .Again depends on what u r interviwing for?...
Re: Professional Clothing
it will look nice if u r going for an interview but under some blazer ... but not recommended for professional meetings......
Re: Professional Clothing
omdz i saw exactly the same shirt yesterday i was about to buy it but then i was like naahhh allow it ![]()
ps: I wud wear it to a professional interview aswell it looks bare buff !
Re: Professional Clothing
Oh thats such a cute top!! What site is it from? :p
As for your question.. yeah it really depends on the job at hand... try pairing it with a cute but serious trench type of coat or a black blazer
Re: Professional Clothing
I would definitely not wear it to an inteview unless there was going to be a black or white blazer covering it for most of the time.
But it also depends on what type of job you are interviewing for.....I would encourage it if you are in the fashion or art industry.
Re: Professional Clothing
nope, this is not going to fly. Avoid it even under a jacket, unless as muzna pointed out its in arts or fashion industry...and even then deoends on the role :)
so in short, dont do it.
Re: Professional Clothing
ok thanks....I already had a doubt on this shirt, but the lady obviously wanted to sell it and said oh no it should be ok for a business meeting...the dress code is business attire.
I got this shirt from bebe.....
And the job I was looking for is more for professional setting...more like administrative type jobs...
Re: Professional Clothing
no! I think for an interview you haev to be kinda conservative with your clothing… this could be alright to wear to work, provided the dresscode is business-casual or smething.. ![]()
Re: Professional Clothing
How does this work for a meeting that suggests its dress code: business attire? Should I wear a blazer & button up shirt??? This won't cut it or will it? Its a meeting my husband needs to attend for his affiliation....
Re: Professional Clothing
Suit with button down shirt.
Re: Professional Clothing
suggest some stores besides Express to buy it from? I have white pants just not the blazer....

Ann Taylor..or Ann Taylor Loft...if u want to go lower price wise then that) then try Ny And company.(but that one wont last u as long. With Ann taylor jacket, if u invest in their Triacetate one is that they get different styles in the same fabric all year around and u can pretty much mix and match all u want...for years to come. So your call..:)BTW do try one that suits your figure meaning they come in varying lengths(ask them)Good Luck!!:)
Re: Professional Clothing
white pants are not suitable for professional attire... u have to wear something in the lines of black blue..
Re: Professional Clothing
really? I thought that any normal color such as black, blue, white, brown worked....
Re: Professional Clothing
White doesnt really go, if you want a lighter pant, go with beige or something...
Re: Professional Clothing
would these blazers work? Since they are a bit longer? I wanted to get something long to cover.
Re: Professional Clothing
someone help out...tell me how would these blazers work????
Re: Professional Clothing
yea they would
and the blouse would like nice for an interview
Re: Professional Clothing
I think you can wear it to work -- but for an interview you should have a blazer over it.
And yes, Ann Taylor and Loft are great places for reliable professional clothes -- a bit pricey, but worth it.
