If nothing has changed in terms of texture, smell, performance etc. then it's still good. I have powder products (eyeshadows, blushes etc.) that are well over 10 years old. I have lipsticks that are over 5 years old. My MUFE HD stick foundation I've had for almost 2 years. It's not unusual for me to use a mascara for up to a year (I keep them until they dry out). If a powder product like eyeshadow or blush is not picking up color, take a kleenex and wipe off the top lawyer and it'll be good as new.
Don't share makeup. Regularly wash your makeup brushes and sponges.
