You need to call your insurance company to see if they cover breast pump. If its 100% covered, 80%… Or whatever. Ask them what kind of breast pump are covered. Some companies dont offer madela or even electric pump. They will tell exactly which ones they’ll cover. They are different kinds in Madela for example, you need to ask them exactly which model. you’ll need to ask them for list of medical supplies store where you can get yours. These supply stores aren’t just any. They are approved by your insurance so you’ll need to stick with them.
Get prescription for breast pump from your doctor (no doctor would refuse this prescription since they encourage breastfeeding). Take that prescription to the insurance approved supply store to get the pump that your insurance will cover along with your insurance card.
Honestly, I never went to the supply store, I just told them to.mail it to me. They cover shipment too.
Oh and some insurance also cover.humidifier, nebulizer etc. I always call.my insurance’s benefit dept to ask them for specific things and if insurance covers it. I’ve always had blue cross, maybe things are different with other companies but you should always call them before buying anything health related.
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
I have a question about cribs. I have heard mixed things that sometimes a crib is purchased and hardly used because the baby sleeps in the parents rooms. What are your experiences with this and do you have suggestions?

Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
Is the Aton2 compatible with the Sola? Cool! I didn’t know that. The Sola is a great stroller! I have no regrets at all.
I’m going to order the Igo from the Mutsy US store online - it’s $529 and I’m going to get the Urban Nomad colorway iA (Strollers, Igo - Mutsy)
and, most likely, the Nuna Pipa car seat from PishPoshbaby.com; the Pipa isn’t out in Canada yet. They have free shipping in the US so I’ll do that once we are in California iA because I wouldn’t be able to use a US car seat in Canada. The Mutsy Igo takes a Maxi Cosi adaptor which works with the Nuna Pipa. It might take the Graco too but I’ll have to look into that.
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
It really all depends on what you choose to do. I co-slept with the kid until he was 11 months and then he moved into his room and has been there since. Hoping to put this one in it’s crib much quicker iA.
A lot of people prefer to get a pack and play for the first few months to keep by your bed. It’s more compact than a crib. Can anyone speak to their experience with that?
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
I used crib for mine until he was 18 months old. The crib is in our room, InshahAllah we will now use it for our 2nd one.
I used graco pack and play. It has a weight limit. I’ve used it for both my kids. If you can keep your crib in your room, then don’t bother buying pack and play. A lot of people put pack and.play in their extra room/living room so they aren’t going back and forth in their room to keep and eye in their child during the day. Its great for naps. But as far as keeping it in the room, it does what a crib does. Buy one or the other for your room/baby’s room.
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
you can also look at mini cribs if you’ve got a smaller bedroom and a crib or pack and play are too big. Both bru and walmart sell them along with their mattresses.
You can also check craigslist for one and just buy a new mattress for it.
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
^ we had a crib and bought a playpen because we got a steal of a deal on it. LO slept in the playpen ALL the time and hardly used her expensive crib. i highly recommend the pack and play if you are tight on space and want something portable.
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
^in terms of strollers…are any of you buying a double stroller to accomodate the newborn and toddler/older child?
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
Any double stroller recommendations that won’t cost me an arm and a leg? No side by side ones, I’m getting rid of mine.
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
Also check the Phil and Ted’s line- they’ve got lots with second seat options.
The City Select is pricier but also very good and quite often on sale on Amazon. I saw a deal recently where they were giving the second seat free.
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
Not here- he’ll be 3 and a bit. He gets a running board to stand on.

^any recs?
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
For a double? See my response to Wendy above. I only included the tandem/in a row ones, not the side by side doubles. That Baby Gizmo link has lots of side by sides, and pricier options too.
Re: Product Reviews 2014 - Strollers, carseats, bottles, cribs etc…
This is the cheapest deal on the City Select that I spotted on amazon- Baby Jogger 2013 City Select Stroller & 2014 Second Seat - Quartz:Amazon:Baby
Also saw this though- highly reviewed- Contours Optima Aluminum Tandem Stroller:Amazon:Baby

This is an Amazon best seller and under $200! Graco DuoGlider Classic Connect Stroller, Dragonfly:Amazon:Baby
I’m just not sure if you can have a car seat click on to the seat for the Contours and Graco options. How would you put your infants in there without that? The seats look like they are 6 mths+.
EDIT: the Contour will take a car seat on the frame in place of a seat.
