Proclaimed Offender becomes a judge

Professor Riffat Khan Peshawar in Weekly Friday Times Lahore 16-23 April 2004 says that a Proclaimed Offender has been posted additional district and sessions judge. A candidate who also applied for the advertised post of Additional District & Session Judge in his complaint to High Court copies of documents that appointed judge was a proclaimed offender in a fraud case. He pleaded that he was on top of merit but the Chief Justice selected this proclaimed offender for the post. During Yahya Khan government early morning a car dragged two young lady teachers standing on the most busy bus stop situated at the main gate of Karachi Central Jail. Teachers were like other dozens were waiting for the bus. People noted car number. It created harassment on the site. Since it was martial law days a quick action was taken and leader and owner of the car was apprehended and teachers rescued. He was awarded jail punishment. The leader was the son of a big gun. When Bhutto government came the same leader of the gang was appointed Superintendent of Central Jail Karachi the same jail from the gate of which he kidnapped the teachers.
