Iam sorry ,i miss took it to be other way round!
I guess mostly ,ppl.usually get hired first .I know for canadian immigrant or citizens ,there is no problem other than landing a job,as candians get hired directly all the time.Immigration is not a problem as for Pakistani & indian & other developing contrieswho come on H1 b visathrough body shop.
I hope ,i am right in assuming your status.
Plz let me know if you need any more info.This info.that i gave you is for mainly H1 b visa holder who need to tide some period when there has been downsizing in Dot.Comindustry lately hopefully temporarily.
