I was suggested '‘PRK’'Mono vision surgery for both eyes.
I am super sensitive person and can’t take pain.
I was wondering if anyone on this board has had that done and tell me the pain level and success rate of this.
Dr told me surgery it self is painless but I have to wearr contact for 5-days and would have bed** rest for a week and the vision will get better gradually.
PLEASE guys share with me if you or any of your family member have that experience and the results…PLZ share.
Any feed back would be grEately appreciated.
THANKS**
I had PRK done in one eye. The contact that you'd wear acts like a band aid, you won't even know it's there. There is no pain during the procedure, a lot of watering of the eye afterwards, and for the pain or discomfort that follows the procedure, they'll give you pain killers. With PRK healing time is longer, about a week and a half and that's how long it'll take for your vision to get stabilized. You don't exactly need bed rest but the more you sleep the better your eyes heal.
It's really nothing to be scared of. Let me know if you have more questions.
THANK you so much for respond and sharing Sajalina.
Dr told me i will feel pressure during the procedure but not pain.Afterwerds 3 days most of sleeping is better.
Can you plz tell me the results?I mean the vision will be perfect after week n half??
Also do you know anything if its done on both eyes?My one eye is dominating the other and they will fix one for far and the other for closer vision.
So still need to make sure that 'KPR' is worth to money of $3,000 for both eyes.....Thanks for further feed back...
Yes vision should be perfect once the eye is healed, sometimes people need enhancement surgery later on but I wouldn't worry about that. I felt no pressure what so ever during the procedure, NOTHING!
The place I went to, they give you valium prior to taking you to the room and once you are there, numbing drops, so I really didn't feel any pain at all.
Btw why do they wanna do PRK instead of Lasik if you don't mind sharing? Oh and $3000 is defenitely worth it, usually it's a lot more than that specially if you buy the platinum plan which covers any enhancement you may need later on.
The Dr infact suggested me ''PRK''after a free consultation and dilation.May coz of mono vision.
They not going down than $3,000 for both eyes for a lifetime satisfaction plan.
If I will need any further they will treat me with no cost.
I dont know if Lasik better than 'PRK,but thats what the Doc think I need.
Sajalina, where do you live dear??
Thanks for sharing.
Dear Sajalina,
I have another question if you spare few minutes sharing.
I am in USA Texas and found out there are 2-companies.They both offer life time satisfaction plan.
1-LSIK VISION.
Lasik were cheaper they quoted $26,00 and use the laser called''VISX Custom Vue''
They were not professional didn't do full test and told me that this surgery is not reversible.
2-LASIK PLUS,
They were very very professional.Did my free evaluation/dilation it took more than an hour and Doc herself discussed all options with me.She quoted me $35.00 but gave a $500 referral discount. She told me they are pricey bcoz their laser''Allegrertto Wave Optimizer''.
I have no idea about which laser works better or advance...Do u know about it??
