Private Question - Males Only

Assalam O Aalaikom,

How is everybody? It might be ashameful regarding wet dream. I am a teen and hence I must know regarding this since I can not ask my parents. What should we do after having a wet dream beside taking ghusl? Is it necessary to change the clothes after that? Is it necessary to change the case of the bed? Please I want to know these questions. Hopefully this thread will be permitted. There is no need for being shameful. Few Pakistanis are ashamed of talking about that. We must know this as education is critical to our lives.

Take Care,
Allah Hafiz!

SuperMe, I think the answer will vary from one school of thought to another. In Hanafi case, if you find stains on your cloths (which you definitely will if you had such a dream) and the bed sheet then yes. Semen is treated as the same level of filth or impurity as urine, just as the pre-ejaculation discharge. Washing three times until the stain removes should be enough to purify the fabrics.

In case one wakes up with such a dream and did not find any stains or indications of seminal discharge, then there is no need to perform ghusl or wash cloths for purification.

Please confirm with some authentic Islamic web site such www.sunnipath.com.

Wallahu' ALam.

Well you can always do some research for yourself. Random posters' interpretation may differ from one another.

Re: Private Question - Males Only

Brother, there's nothing to be ashamed of or embarassed. There's no such thing "shy" in Islam becuse Islam is way of life and we've to know everything so we can perform it according to Sunnah. Wet dreams are natural, nothing to be worried about too much. Just make sure that before your sleep, recite Autul Kursi, other sleeping duas, Surah Mulk and do dkhir. Also, don't let any shatani waswasas to get into your head-this only happens when our mind is empty, so whenever you feel like that keep doing some dkhir.

It's obvious, where ever you find the impurity you need to wash it-according to Sunnah.

It so embarrassing e was my fathers age.
I was having episode of depression.
Telling him how i feel about the world/life/after life.

And he goes "oye tum ------ kitny ------- ho"

I was shocked but i told him.
He said son "more".
And take every thing easy.

I swear.
