What kind of health assessment did you go through before hand? I understand its a medical health check 2 and not as rigorous as the medical health check 1 you undergo before joining the RAF
Is there any physical training I will have to go through before taking it? Or is it just a basic check to see whether I have any medical conditions/heart problems etc?
Does the PPL certify you for night flights? And how long is the training for multi-engine/jet planes?
Kenjifu i have done some gliding while i was working for Air Cadets as a training officer....
if military attracts u then i would suggest u to join air cadets and work in ground school and you can also get training in ground schools...... you would get plenty of chances to go for flying.... while being an officer.....
do u wana learn it just for fun or are u thinking of flying private plans take it as a career ? ? ?
if u r in canada pm i might help u a little otherwise i dont think so....
Eye test is very important you need 20/20 eye sight…they test if you can maintain your balance with your eyes closed. Also test your peripheral vision.
the rest is BP, urine test and freedom of motion of all your limbs.
FAA in the USA requires that you get Night Flying training as part of your PPL before you can carry Passengers at night.
Muti Engine will require 10 hrs dual with Instructor…
Jet Engine is a Type Rating you can get if you can afford the cost after your Multi Engine rating!

GUD LUCK :)
Hey thankyou for replying!
At first I thought I would try it out for fun but now I think I might get a little serious about it - what kind of jobs are out there if you take it up as career? Not in the army and not as a full time airline pilot :( that would not be for me
but I have heard there are plenty of other oppertunities as well out there and I will be moving to Canada soon (in a few years) so any info would be great!
where are u right now....
if u can wait then why dont u start u training once u come here.....
hmm Canada is three years away yet and right now I have too much time on my hands, I really want to do it as soon as possible :D
No Chemicals........or fertilizer/herbicide spreading by air...that is called "Crop Dusting"
Bush Pilots is a fun carreer ...........fly in the wilderness of Australia Canada..includes flying into Lakes:
Thankyou for the suggestion, that sounds really interesting and too much fun (I would probably LOVE something like that) but do you actually get paid for it? I know the flight school here runs a few courses like that - I will definitely look into it
