Priorities

While I am not against metro train or for the matter of fact any infrastructure project as they do help the population at the end of the day. The only thing that bothers me are priorities, I watched the first few minutes of a program called khabardaar today in which aftab Iqbal was mentioning that the Punjab government has pulled out amount from schemes related to youth and elderly to build the metro train.

In other news today 14 children have died in children’s hospital due to lack of ventilators (the only government run children hospital in Lahore and perhaps Punjab), this hospital caters for the poorer sections of Lahore on ferozepur road to kasur (by the way this is the same area where metro bus also runs). Who should one lay blame for these kind of irresponsible policies? I am sure there wouldn’t be any noise in the media as this concerns N league.

Well, this motorway infrastructure model works which has been copied by MQM as well. of course, karachi seriously needed bridges from lyari and to give him credit, mustafa kamal personally supervised clean up work for sewerage lines and damage from falling advertisement boards though defense / DHA didn't want to pay for the cleanup.

But it is still a shame that CM of punjab acts like a mayor of lahore. I think that this is why musharraf's local govt system should have been strengthened rather than thrown away to give infrastructure work to locals like it is in the West.
