here are my two cents...
- uninstalling the printer software suggested above might not uninstall the printer drivers.
- try going to device manager and uninstall the printer drive manually from there.
- remove the printer USB cable from the computer, insert the cd back in, and plug the USB cable back in. when it detects the new hardward and prompts to install the printer, select the cd to install it from.
- if this doesn't work, repeat the last step above on a different USB port.
