a principled mind will not indulge in anything that is bad for the intergrity of the principles that it idealizes. are there exceptions to this rule?

Its a very delicate ideology between "aqel" and "ishq". I would say different between an astronaut and astronomer. Like the scientist. Who spent their life time on path which no one has seen before.
Its good if some time we put our rationals behind us and let "ishq" drive us.
ishq = obsession( in a good way)
