I don't play commodities. But as we discussed in the Cafe thread on gifts, buying oil stocks makes sense.

At the time had picked up rds.a and tot both are up a bit since buy. Plus healthy dividends. Also have one some XOM for maybe 1 year or more. At 88 per share. I think in spite of recent drop it is still in the money.

If oil stocks drop more , will be ready. If not that's OK tooo.

Very nice article in today's WSJ on the energy sector. Recommended energy etfs as One ur mom had warned about did 3.5 weeks ago. Will summarize that article in a new thread later in the day.
