which of these current affair programme on Prime do you watch or if you watch’em.
During the spring brake I had a chance of watchin both of these programmes and must say that the energy that Talat provides and the enthusiasm with which he hosts his show is really commendable. Ghori IMO, somehow lacks this department. Though, his approach in bringing international politicians and comunists to his show due to his studio being located in London is a good advantage.
But over all Talat’s programme is better. The amount of feedback he gets in form of telephone calls, fax and email is much higher than of Ghori’s.
Ghori and Talat are both very intelligent men. Both know exactly what the issues are and contest the opinions of others.
I used to enjoy Talat's show, before there was a Ghori saab. That doesn't mean I dislike Talat, infact I would like to see him become something big one day for the Pakistan Govt.
Ghori's show appeals more to the foreign Pakistani's living in UK/US/Canada. Ghori brings in international audiences too, and his guests are always knowledgable on the latest issues around the world. I would like to see Ghori saab run for elections in UK, he seems to have the audience encouragment and isn't afraid to view his points. Kudos to Ghori saab for bringing us a very "current affairs" show without any biased media propaganda. (that doesn't mean Ghori is always Pro Islam, he infact has had his punches at how the Muslim brothers were at fault too for many world problems).
I watch both programs once or twice a week not for Ghauri or Talat but for the desi callers. They absolutely crack me up most of the times. Given the fact that most Pakistanis consider themselves politically aware, the questions are more of a comment and statement than anything else. I just love it.
