Re: Prime Minister Appears Before Supreme Court
^^^
mqm has always played estabilishment b-team. CJ instead taking these cases more seriously, has become prejudice against PPP government. The article is the truth, no one can deny that mqm was the most beneficial party due NRO of Musharraf.
Had NRO not issued by stupid corrupt Musharraf, BB would have still being alive. NRO was a trap to kill BB on one hand and on the other benefitted mqm the most.
Do you really think whatever illogical statement you would make people would believe (or have to believe) you? You did not even gave me answer to what I asked. Don't you know that NRO is struck off by SC, and no case in Pakistan is left withdrawn because of NRO. Any case that were withdrawn are now active again. So, how can you say that MQM benefited from NRO?
Just think: NRO was ordinance that needed parliamentary endorsement to become binding law. Without parliamentary endorsement it had no value and it also means no one benefiting from NRO (in long term). To get NRO endorsed from NA, government needed 172 NA votes. PPP coalition votes in favour of NRO were:
PPP = 127
ANP = 13
JUI = 8
BNP and NPP = 2
Total ~ 150 votes
PPP also had support of many independents:
Ind members in NA = 17
Total possible votes without MQM votes = 150 + 17 (maximum) = 167 (Max possible), still 5 short of 172.
MQM = 25 votes
It means PPP was not in position to get NRO endorsed from parliament without MQM votes.
Since NA did not endorsed NRO, if anyone benefitted from NRO then those benefits are over, as due to SC direction, all NRO cases are active again. Thus cases in Pakistani courts are all getting sorted out without benefitting from NRO.
So, my question is that: If MQM was biggest beneficiary of NRO then why MQM did not endorsed NRO in parliament and availed those benefits?
Since MQM opposed NRO in NA, it means MQM had no interest or care for NRO neither worried about benefits they might have got from NRO ... or possibly MQM thought of country more than personal or party benefits. It also means NRO was nothing to do with MQM. That assumption would stand valid unless you give more logical reasons why MQM did not endorse NRO when MQM was suppose to benefit most.
Plus, if MQM was main beneficiary of NRO then why other parties in coalition were willing to endorse NRO in NA and MQM was only party in government coalition who were opposing the endorsement?
