When they so call “brag” about what they’ve donated it motivates others to donate more. Thats there philosophy. Any hoo I support it because its a good deed and it helping fellow Muslims there is no harm in it and it gives people a chance to participate in the charities. 
^ shakila, I would be motivated to donate more if they talk about results and case studies of what this money is doing rather than listening to people donating money.
just because people are donating money does not mean I would, unless i think the group is doing good work, and the only way I would learn that is if they talk about it.
now maybe there is no issue with taking calls from people who just want to say u guys are doing a good job and I am donating money, however that should be a small part of it, not the big portion or as it is now 100% of the show except for the opening remarks.
and it is not a so called "brag" there is no reason to say how much money you are donating. is there? I mean there is not a reason to even say that you are donating..but then saying how much is kinda cheap :) additionally tartiq sahab treats ppl differently on how much they are donating $20 donations get a small shukriya, and larger ones get a diff response, check the show out yourself and see. but thats a side point.
The 3 hours could be spent in a much better way and they should think about changing the format of how they run this show. if Tariq aziz's ego wants to keep him constantly talking thats a diff ballgame.

what're u crazy? commericials are on every other channel expcept for PPV on dish netwrok. Indian channels got commercials, Amrican one do, as well. And these are the channels you pay monthly subscription fee to.

Samby, Abrar is all yours. He used the phrase…“awww, you are so sweet ji” a little too much. Just listening to that can make one diabetic. Aur ye gun ki dhamki kissi aur ko dena. Mein koi nahi darti warti. Waisay bhi I’m sure Fg will willingly take it for me, so there 
oh my Gaad…Femme ki bachi you took the “sweet” words out of my mouth. He did use it a lot and inappropriately too. One male caller, a late 40’s Butt Saahab from Virgeenia called in and said in a very BuTT-nee voice / accent , "Abrar tussi baRRa changa kam ker rahay hau tey meri akhaan wich athroo aajaanday nay twada kum waikh kay… "…at this point Abrar went , “Oh so sweet of you to say that” 
But the best one was when that young caller called and reminisced about Zia Mohyeuddin’s Taakra show with Runa Laila. He told Zia he remembered about him saying to Runa Laila, " Tau lagay Thumka". LOL. At this Zia said, “Yey ghalibun aap kehtay hongay k lagay thumka, may kehta tha taudaingay Taika”.

I’ve been trying to get these two clean up their acts for some time now. But it very difficult to cleanse a dirty mind of kharafaat especially if the respective minds belong to these two.

You sound like one of those people who would say subhan Allah just cos someone is speaking Arabic, chahay koi arabic mein gaali hee kyon na bol raha ho. Neither one of us criticised him for his cause. I would rather be amongst the ones who watch 15-20 mins of the show, make a donation, be realistic about what they see appreciate what good is done and not hold back any just criticism and carry on with their lives for the remaining part of the day, not sit there all day long shedding tears of joy over the good Abrar is doing and imagining what you would say if you were the caller.

I saw the fundraiser with abrara and zia mohyuddin, this was a much better executed show than the wone Tariq aziz had done just last week or 2 weeks back.
one of my two basic gripes were answeres, abrar did a great job of talking about the project off and on and what they were trying to accomplish. Ghauri did not interfere much or did not take control of the program as much as Tariq Aziz had done.
It was also refreshing to see people donate, thank abrar for leading such an effort and all, without giving their names, there were a few ppl who did that.
all in all a much better program than the one done by Tariq Aziz.
Yep, you are right. This last charity prog was not as bad. I guess Tariq Aziz was the culprit.
This Ghauri guy sounds good. He has some sense of humor and doesn't try to over-kill it. Abrar's humble nature also helped.
tariq aziz should focus on being pakistan's james earl jones and say things like
"This is prime TV"
atleast we know that if we make a charba of starwars, we have vader's voice.
I think Tariq aziz is a decent game show host, but a poor host for programs as such, he aint no regis philbin...
