For those living in America, England, Canada, or Australia…what is the rate of getting a complete suit stitched? Where I live the rate is really low compared to the effort and time dedicated. It is only $25.

That is a good price! In 2001, it was $25 in suburban New York and suburban Boston!

It used to be $20, and few still do it for the price, am I the only one who thinks the price is ridiculously low?

it's sad that women work so hard to stitch a suit and get ony $25 which is like $5 an hour...here, the minimum wage is i believe $10.50 an hour. desi folks taking advantage of one of their own! :(

We never stitched dresses from here ever. But this one seems really very low price, Seriously.

what makes you believe that it takes 4/5 hours to cut/sew a suit??
Frankly a good seamstress would be able to cut/sew a simple suit in less than 2 hours.
If there is lining or detail work, like pattis, zippers etc involved then it might take 3 or 4 hours depending on the complexity but then they would not charge $20/$25 for it either.....
also....most desi women working from home are not collecting or remitting taxes on their income, so naturally they will not be able to demand minimum wages that the government stipulates.
I pay $25 for a simple outfit. If it has to be lined and there is complexity then I have paid up to $40.
