Since majority of the guppans on the forum have been married, please can you tell me how costly the affair is. I want break down of each cost (in Rs & in accordance with Pakistani standards).
Its my brother’s wedding in 3 months. We dont want to make it an over the top kind of affair but mediocre type.

Bangles of bride:

Food (if guests are around a 400):

well....this all boils down to personal taste..choice and ur budget...
main thing being ur budget...
invitations..rs.30 to rs150 per card...shadmaan iqbal market
clothes again rs 500 per suit deli darvasa..to rs 1500 average..to sky high prices designer
food is usually rs300 per head starting price
mehndi would depend on how lavish u want it how creative u r etc..
bride clothes minimum...lenga and 6/8 outfits start cost abt 1 lahk 50 ..
bridal make up rs20,000 to 50,000 and party make up starts at rs2,000
hope this gives u a rough idea so u can calculate....prices do vary as u have to bargain alot in pak and it also depends on person to person...

The wedding is in Lahore, Insha Allah. I think some costs you mentioned are near about my range but some costs are not up to the market rate. I think the food per head cost has gone way higher to 800 - 1000 rs. And good quality suits for my bhabi wouldnt be possible in 1500. I guess ill have to do more market research on the clothes. My bhabi is a simple girl so we want to make clothes she can actually wear and not put them away. So we will probably keep 2-3 heavy joras and the 5-6 light kaam joras and 2-3 casuals.

I think the make up is going to be anywhere in the range of 20k-60k depending upon where you go.
