This was not a criminal act. Police have done their investigation, and there were a few safety issues cited, which the PTI should take into account. There was no malicious intent. Accidents happen. Concerned folks will be taken to task. No need for keyboard thanedars.

what statistics? with all due respect, you are comparing apples with oranges..those big jalsas were one time events and their planning was done for months
but here we are talking about an intense political campaign encompassing 100 jalsas in 20 days...that is a totally different ball game, which required a certain protocol that needed to be followed religiously and yes there were some very serious gaps , which could have cost imran khan his life...i guarantee you that imran was facing same pathetic arrangement in all of his campaign jalsas but no one knew it until all of this exploded

I've been part of enough "jalsas" and their organization to know that there is only so much "control" you can exert upon the masses. There will be mistakes made.
This was nothing but an accident. There was no malice. There was no mismanagement as they did what all parties do over and over and over again.
Could there have been improvements. Absolutely! Without a doubt.
Knowing Imran as I do, if the guy had even resigned, his resignation would have been thrown out. IK would never have accepted it. That's just the kind of man he is.
The only thing that remains to be addressed here is your obvious anger/frustration at the suggestion that this event should be regarded as a "heroic" one. This is a matter of perception. You may choose to say that there is no heroism in it because his organization failed him. That's fine. I can understand that perspective and accept it.
Those that are screaming "bravery" are not looking at the cause and effect but the attitude with which Imran has reacted. He could very easily rolled over and shut down for the time that it takes to heal.....but he didn't. Those that love him are looking at that behaviour and saying that he is brave to carry on as much as he can.
At the end of the day, in my opinion, neither of your objections are big enough to warrant a witch hunt. Particularly if the one that has been injured is at peace with how things are being handled.
oh....and one more thing......this party is a very close knit one.
if there were any apologies expected then I'm sure that they were delivered.....not once but several times over. I'm sure that this information will not be made public as it would only be regarded as "dramay-baazi".

I agree, these sort of dramas are not required.
Like, "I am resignnnnnnnnnnnnning, do you accept my Istiffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". And the whole party is like "Nahi Altaf Bhai, Khuda kay liye, nahi ....ham to mar jaeiN gay aapkay baghair".
And next day all major tv network running this news over and over again.
