I am very disappointed!
In other thread I have said it was sabotage and criminal negligence. They guy who was managing this nonsense should be hanged along with the people who were with him on the platform and person who was operating the lift.

^^ Asad Umer is not going anywhere, its democracy and more than 2/3 of PTI want him right there where he is.
Security management should however be handed over to Samson Sharaf or someone else with strong know-how in the field.

ok fine...but last i heard he was responsible for IK's overall campaign including every aspect both strategic and operational...definitely operational....but now that operational part has been exposed so blatantly, remove asad and put the right person....asad shd focus on strategic aspects only

what statistics? with all due respect, you are comparing apples with oranges..those big jalsas were one time events and their planning was done for months
but here we are talking about an intense political campaign encompassing 100 jalsas in 20 days...that is a totally different ball game, which required a certain protocol that needed to be followed religiously and yes there were some very serious gaps , which could have cost imran khan his life...i guarantee you that imran was facing same pathetic arrangement in all of his campaign jalsas but no one knew it until all of this exploded
why shdnt we ask tough questions and ask who is responsible for this mess?

the point i am trying to make is that PTI claims to be a different party....i would have expected the head of IK's security and campaign management to come forward and apologize to Khan nd PTI voters and then resigned....just imagine how positive that would be...Pakistanis would be so impressed..
but what happened? pti launched a strange campaign calling a grossly mismanaged affair "an act of bravery"...what act of bravry? ..khan fell from a crane for god sake....
how is this behavior different from other parties? sorry i cannot defend blindly

The act of bravery is Imran's composure and demeanor, and the fact that despite injuries, all he could think of was Pakistan.....not the fall from the crane. Please dont twist stuff to suit your needs.
As for the management, yes, that was shoddy, but as mentioend above, Asad Umar is the campaign manager, not rally organizer. Local rallies are the responsibility of the local management. And this was the result of bad management, no doubt. But at the end of the day, it was an accident. Alls well that ends well.
