Pretty feet

Okay all you pretty guppans, I need some help to beautify my feet. I wore sandals and open toe shoes in summer and now my feet are in bad shape: all dark and ugly looking :bummer: I have tried using a pumice stone and brush few times a week to scrub my feet but it hasnt really worked. Kia karoun??Come on chicas, help me out so I can wear some more pretty sandals for Eid

hey Ira, try washing ur feet everynight, moisturise and then put some socks on… that’ll work really well :k:

i know when my feet start to look a bit silly, i do this for a few days and they are back to looking a lil normal

scrub every night. revert to sneakers up until eid. hmm...take some really hot water (well not scalding hot), add epson salt in it and soak your feet every one in a while (in your case every other night or once in 3 nights?).

oh and if you live near a beach - wade in the water, and walk along the beach. the natural way to exfoliate :D

hey Ira

how are u??

Try massaging your feet with baby oil(or any good oil)…Oil does help improve the skin stone. And yeah, as sadzz said wear socks to prevent your feet skin from drying out.

^ yeah oil is really good... u could always try Rose Hip oil.. it isnt as oily as normal oils.. so it wont leave ur feet greasy :)

ask maddy. :k:

rose hip oil? never heard of this...where do you get it from?

^ chemists/pharmacies and health shops

i usually use it after i wash my face at night as well.. it gives a splendid glow to your face :k:

get a pedicure, that should help somewhat :)

Thank you chicas for your input so far. I might try the oil therapy but I think I will just use rose scented almond oil instead of rose hip oil (not enough time to go look for it in ramadhan). Athough i do try massaging my feet with this musk scented vaseline type stuff(some brit made greasy thing). It hasnt seemed to work so far.
Epsom salt sounds like a good idea esp for tired feet perhaps. I have never used them so where can i get those at?Walgreen?Body Shop?
I did get a pedicure once but i dont like people touching my feet, you know :P Its uncomfy.

Kakay: Thats a sound idea. I wonder how come I didnt think of asking Maddy the secret to his beautiful feet? Thanks kakay, thats your good deed for today.

yep, the salt is available in PUblix methinks. Er, any grocery store. We have the Publix chain out here.

Rose-scented almond oil...i've been missing out on a lot in life.

:rotfl:

Thought she asked for some good advice

Well, all I do to make them look nice is to keep them clean.... in winter when they are a little dry... some petroleum jelly..... that's it... nothing special... so.. and to avoid from sun you can wear light socks...

get a professional peducire done. that will take care of the excess ghastly-ness.. then u can maintain it.... like after havnig ure bath.. apply mango butter from teh body shop... its excellenttttttttttt.... and put socks on right away! ... dont wear sandals anymore... shoes and socks all the way..

socks after some lotion does wonders.

AJ, red socks? :hoonh:

Like some people suggested already, just soak your feet in hot water (and some salt). Although I only do that when I’m majorly tired, it helps the skin as well.

One thing though, I’ve always applied moisturizer as soon as I wash my feet and then put some socks on. It’s not 'cuz I’m trying to ‘beautify’ them… I just can’t stand dry feet. shudders **

amazing to see what ppl won’t do for their feet.
They’re just tanned cuz of the excessive sun. Just wait a lil while longer and they’ll return to normal automatically. No need for all those fancy things :k:

CB : me too.. and dry hands.. and dry lips :snooty:

^ well, if you’re dry all over - then maybe increase uptake of water?

does WONDERS :k:

I do nothing special with my feet, just wash them a few times a day with soap. They're fine.:D But I never wear sneakers, and or boots for too long.
