pretty, ugly, fat, skinny?!
urgh...a univerisal defination is needed here!!
No matter how old, pretty, ugly, skinny, fat someone is they will always have insecurities about anything and everything. I have never met one woman/man who has not expressed a certain amount of insecurity about at least one of thier physical attributes.
some people are just better at hiding their insecurities than others, just as some people are good at displaying them.
ya Allah

I agree.
You'll find the most beautiful women in the world talking about their insecurities ... even super models complain about their looks ... it's just a self-esteem issue.
looking gorgeous makes a person more confident, its comes naturally to them when they see that ppl are impressed with the way they look
if they are insecure there are some personality flaws i suppose, one things for sure, aim high never low!
Re: Re: prettiness vs insecurities
i have insecurities too.. a lot of them. Iām nto free of them at all, but i will never let myself be abused by someone who seems to think they love/like me.. which some girls think they should tolerate
and jee nahin! i dont discuss it more than everyone else!!
oh good grief, I can barely get through to the end of the thread here. Why does it matter so much whether people in general are insecure or not? If you're secure, then good. If you feel you are not, then stop watching so many television ads that tell you to look this way, or be this way or think that way.
Gah. Live your life as YOU want to, not because you happen to be a girl, and because of that things should be this way and not that.
And who cares about pretty girls versus ugly girls? Who is really pretty anyway, without make-up, I'd like to ask. Maybe YOU think that woman over there is drop dead gorgeous, but I do not. So if beauty is really a relative thing anyway, why use it as a criterion for insecurity?
^ why so much anger?
really? I thought I had calmed down now that I got me period. :(
darnit. i need drugs.
u dont need drugs..
maybe u just came across that way. I said in the first post that it was a huge generalisation and i meant girls in general have issues with themselves.. khair its been 24hours since i put this thread up.. im over it
Quite true.
My sister is a stunning girl yet she cries at how ugly she is ( sorry for spilling T but y'know it's the truth). Sometimes she thinks she is the most ugly girl in the world which is rubbish. And then when she gets guys following her around at uni and giggling when she walks in she takes it in a negative way. She think's they're taking the piss out of her looks whereas i'm pretty sure they're a bunch of lads perving on a pretty girl. So yeah, insecurities are abundant.
And then you have me. I'm not as insecure as her though i'm not as pretty. Well ok i have my days too :p
^ ofcourse ur sis would be stunning..akhar bhen kis kee hai..hain naa...
