I use pressure cooker for pretty much every beef/mutton dish I make. It cuts down my cooking time majorly. I had a Fagor which came from Macy’s. Its stainless steel non stick kinda thing. Just recently things started getting stuck to the bottom of the cooker. So I decided to throw it away and get a new one. Maybe the non stick coating is damage because I used it so much.
What kind do you guys own? What other brands are good? I want something that will last me. Like I said I use it a LOT.
Spiral , things shouldnt be sticking to the bottom of the pan … are you sure you are putting enough water in the food before putting it on pressure?
I havnt really seen non stick pressure cookers .. but I have personally used the usual steel ka Prestige ka pressure cooker and its working fine since years and years now …
I have not seen a non stick pressure cooker. But maybe yours is just worn out due to too much use.I got mine about 5 years ago and it is a Presto Aluminum pressure cooker.I am assuming you are in the USA,I got mine from Kohl's.
oh okay maybe its not non stick. I think I used it too much and maybe I didn't handle it with care when washing :( Used the hard side of the sponge.. sigh.
I recently started using the pressure cooker for everything even rice. There is this futura brand, it is an indian brand, unless you are looking for a stainless steel one, I would think this is one of the best I have used so far. may be look into it and see how you like it.
Mine lasted only 2 years. These Fagor aren't very cheap either. I like my pots to be very clean and shiny. Maybe I was too hard on the poor thing, scrubbing it, rinsing it with vinegar :(
I recently purchased one (paki brand) never used one. Any advice? What do you generally use it for? How long? How is it diff from cooking in a regular pot/pan? Like I said I have never used one before all advice will be greatly appreciated.

It is great for cooking beef/mutton specially when you are making salan or biryani. If you are cooking on regular pot it takes more than hour to have the meat cook thoroughly but with pressure cooker you are done in 20 mins and saves so much time.
It is also great to cook chickpeas/kalay chanays if you are making chaat etc. Also cook daals etc depends what kind you are making.
