i find that when making salan, if i cook the onion in the cooker first, later on there aren't any chunks of onion floating in the salan.

but last time I tried to make haleem with National Masala n you know how its got the daal in powder the powder got stuck to the deeghchi and burnt bad

Are there any nonstick Pressure cookers?
I make haleem in the cooker too, but I don't use the quickmix (powder vaala), rather the whole grain one. Pressure cook it, and then just simmer it open pot. It cuts off a lot of waiting time and tastes a lot better than the powder one too.

I know a lot of people who cook rice in a pressure cooker. I hate how it comes out starchy and sticky. What are some food items you wouldn't put into the cooker?

i have to buy a new one....as the old one is having trouble....
all i can find is "presto" brand....cant find the tefal one....
anyone used it...??
how is it....??....its in various price ranges starting from 40 dollars all the way upto 100 plus.....the more expensive ones are aluminum and the others are stainless steel....
any suggestions will be welcomed...
