Presidential Secrets

Curious how people feel about the fact that Bush and Cheney will testify privately to the 9/11 commission and have disallowed tapes or transcripts be taken.

Also curious how you feel about the engergy task force headed by Cheney and its secrets.

Myself? I think should be public. These guys like it or not are employed by the American taxpayers. They are working for us. The taxpayers have a right to know what we are paying these guys for. Ones employer deserves an accounting of what the employees are paid to do.

The Bush ads always going on and on about credibility.

Where is the credibility in these situations?

Topics regarding that may harm national security that may be discussed can be edited out of transcripts so I think this a poor excuse.

Shame that we allow our leaders such a free hand in matters that concern all of us.

They should be accountable for their decisions and actions reguarding our country and we the public should be privy to matters of such importance.

You go, tell 'em girl :k:

And the speech which Condi was scheduled to deliver IN PUBLIC on 9/11/2001 about missile defense is now classified, national security, y'know.

But that memo about Gorelick was declassified real quickly.

Had to pull teeth to get the AUG6 PDB declassified.

But those things that were supposed to make Clarke look bad were declassified on the spot.

Et cetera...

Ad nauseam...

National Security, eh?

Who takes it seriously?

Don't get me wrong I love America and am not an anarchist.

Just that sometimes decisions made by the administration sometimes seem to emulate closed society rather than free open society.

But at least I am free to say so.

And thank goodness for the watchdog American Civil Liberties Union.

Someone needs to.

While I am on my high horse…

Enuff partisanship in the government…

Lets start hearing interviews of government officials without the Liberal/Conserative/Democrat/Republican labels…

And make our choices on representatives based on what they promote and how they themselves speak and vote on issues… rather than the party they belong too…

Had enuff finger-pointing!!! Even though I have to admit that I have also been guilty of finger-pointing. Probobly every human on earth has been at one time or another…

So heres some finger pointing… sick of those inflamitory Bush campaign ads… and the partisan comments of his cohorts!!!

And shame of Fox news for claiming to be fair and balanced news… as IMHO practically a trumpet for all things Bush…

Hannity and Combs show for example… ever notice how Hannity always seems to do the majority of interviews? And how when fair and balanced…the balanced part always seems to tilt?
