..do these Gaddi Nasheens really need a bank..?? perhaps they do ...

there was a report which stated , that there are nearly 3000 prominent shrines , whose custodians are these gaddi nasheen and they are the biggest source of their income ..

an average of about 60,000 per week is collected from each , and hardly 5% goes into the Auqaf dept 's coffers , the rest is the easiest unacounted income of these gaddi nasheens

Towards the end of a race, the jockey whips, kicks and yells at his tired horse to squeeze out that extra mph from the horse, because it might be his last race. Thats what Zardari is doing. I wouldnt be surprised if the bank ends up being bought by one of the famous last names we have been hearing in the news for the past 4 years, (talpur, gillani, wahab, mirza, etc etc).

Politics of ethnicity really anger me sometimes. Soon we will have a bank for every ethnicity in Pakistan... which is an awful lot of banks. These politicians are forging distrust between different groups of people to secure their votes for the upcoming elections.

It was started with Punjab Bank, then Mehran Bank and now Siraiki Bank. Why so much pain? Really it does not make any difference, as long it helps local population.

There's no problem in creating new banks but if it's to appease cronies and loot the public money then it's not a good idea. Zardari has a credibility issue (in monetary matters) plus we have already seen mehran bank scandal.

This is not good decision and not a good name but remember it was Lahore which started using ethnic name .Bank of Punjab .

Another problem is that at the moment there is no province by the name of Seraiki? Can we have a Bahawalpur and Hazara banks? Besides there are so many banks in Pakistan at present I dont know what extra banks will do?

If its used for wheeling/dealing (In South Punjab) like Mehran Bank I dont think it would be a good idea as we will go back into the 90's. I was just watching a program in which Durrani (proponent of Bahawalpur province) was saying that first banners appeared in South Punjab, who will be the CM of Seraiki Province (With picture of PM's son) and then the movement for the province was launched.

Now new funds from 'Bholay Bhaly' Pakistan loving overseas Pakistani's on the name of change .
There may be some secret funds also available for him .
So these big accounts can run these banks ..

I was reading golden words of Zardari and gailani that “Kuch Bank sirf makhsoos logoon ko qarz daitay hain” Every one knows who the hell they are.

Zardari was also saying “Janoubi Pujnab kay khitay kay logoon key mahromian door ho jain gi” O fool pahlay apnay Illaqay kay logoon key mahromian to door kar lay and now i’m sure all Juhla (Jiyalla now revert to Juhla) ll be very happy to hear this that at least they ll get loan easily :cobra:

The way Zardari is going about to create the province, Allah forbade there could be blood shed.

If they want to do that they should discuss with PMLN and other stake holders and go about doing it in a proper way. The statements that he is giving these days could act as fuel on fire, he should at least try to acknowledge his responsibilities being head of state.
