What can you take for friends in Pak?

Re: Presents

It depends how much you wanna spend I guess. I like to take make-up. Jewellery - the kind of stuff you don't find in Pak. Nice chocolate.

Perfumes!

^
I know it's so depressing when you hear about what's happening :(

Re: Presents

Jewelry, makeup, bath and body sets. Perfumes (depending) can be pricey....maybe reserve that for really special/close friends. If you know their shoe size...get em a nice pair of shoes. I've even given cute sweaters....if it's winter or if it's coming up.

Re: Presents

Im going to pakistan soon and im taking... a lottt of chocolate, cookies, brownie and cake mix, a lot of makeup, perfumes, polo shirts, handbags, skin care stuff, baby clothes for my niece and nephew, toys, colouring books, crayons, markers, Pajama sets for my cousin and sis in law, jewellery, camera for my devar.

i know it seems like alot of stuff but i have alot of relatives lol. I started shopping 3-4 months in advance so the cost is bearable and not a huge amount at one time :)

Re: Presents

good options.

Re: Presents

Based on what we usually take/send - paracetamol (everyone seems to ask us for English painkillers for some reason!), fudge/toffees/chocolate, perfumes, nail varnishes and lipsticks is a usual request, electronic items (fiance is going Pakistan soon and has been asked for a laptop by his cousin so he is taking one with him!) oh and hair dye!!! My aunty always requests hair dye!!

Re: Presents

My cousins in PK are obsessed with anything to do with Bodyshop! Lol. So I alway take soaps, eye-liners etc from there as well as purses, bags, costume jewellery, sandals, shoes and bags, bags, bags and bags! Lol.

Re: Presents

Oh my gwad, my folks always take paracetamols at the request of fam' members there!!

Re: Presents

for girls-makeup, skin-care, handbags, or shoes, or pretty cardigans that can go with shalwar kameez aswell.
for boys- Games, gadgets, pj sets, or watches, wallets.
for kids- chocolates, candy or toys that arent too heavy.
for elders- COMFY SHOES! cnt find much in pakistan, or pretty shawls, and nice cardigans. also if any is ill, you can take blood pressure machines, diabetes checking stuff, vitamins, or something related to that.

Re: Presents

Thes best time to get all this stuff is just after Xmas when the shops are trying to shift all the unsold gift sets :D Also this might sound weird but for the elders my dad likes to take stuff like cereals, porridges, Horlicks, Ovaltine - basic food for strength I guess

Re: Presents

My mums going - this is what she's taking as presents - shoes for her bhabi's, sweets/chocolates/colouring stuff for the kids. Some outfits for the kids. Make-up sets which you can get from debenhams as they ALWAYS have them.
