I am Canadian, and my husband’s Pakistani colleague recently became the proud father of a beautiful baby girl. We are wondering what an appropriate present would be. We know that Pakistani heritage is very important to the mother and father and wanted to honour this by giving them a culturally appropriate gift. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

I would give them anything that you would give you any of your non-pakistani friend. :)

aaw just give her clothes or something i'm sure they'll understand. it doesn't necessarily HAVE to be something cultural :)

culturally appropriate? I can’t think of anything right now, but a cute little dress (Orange color may I suggest :halo: ) I believe would do for right now.
Oh…my phoopo once gave these cute little baby chooriyan to my cousin once. They were simply adorable. I’m not sure how easy it’ll be to find some chooriyan in Canada. Anyways..wish you best of luck :k:.

I personally go for pink instead of orange, pink looks great on little cute girls. :k:

I would give a crib mobile instead or any other activuty toy like an activuty gym or something..but no clothes...everyone give clothes anyway...

^ i agree clothes are very typical...honestly i think a gift card is your best bet that way they can get whatever they want/need.

if u want to go for some thing traditional and have money, then why not an allah locket or other piece of jewellery...a lil baby ring...
in our family, whne a baby is born, jewellery is a common gift....
