Unless something plausible is done, crisis in Pakistan would continue. Today PMLN has taken their protest on road challenging the writ of the government. If PMLN would succeed to blackmail the government by this Dharna business and show of street power than tomorrow it would be another party, and so on. [Actually, it is not PMLN as they do not have much street power, but street power we are seeing is due to JI, plus corruption money of NS as he is throwing bones to Lawyers, Journalists, corrupts of civil society and every goon in the country]. I am sure that MQM and PPP have massive ground support and ability to use such lawlessness in their strongholds to blackmail and bring any government down, and it means no party would be able to rule the country against the will of parties that have street power (or have rich corrupt politicians who are willing to throw plenty of bones to dogs of society). What is happening could become a very dangerous precedent for blackmailing and pressuring any future government and ultimately could harm Pakistan (and unity of Pakistan) permanently. So, Pakistanis should discourage any such lawlessness in the country used to pressurise and blackmail government.
I think that it is time Pakistanis should learn to accept election results for 5 years and support 2008 election result until next election in 2013. We should accept that Assembly members (Provincial or National) who win the election on party ticket wins on mandate of that party and should vote in line with party policy, and if they do not agree to vote according to party line, they should get disqualified. Anyhow their votes against party line on certain issues, like electing CM, PM, voting for vote of confidence, etc … should be always considered as invalid votes.
Punjab Government: As for Punjab, we have 3 parties (PPP, PMLQ and PMLN) who have enough Punjab assembly members each that no single party can form government on their own, and two of mentioned 3 have to join together to make government. PMLN is trying to bring Lota-culture in Punjab Assembly by buying Lotas from PMLQ, and this should be discouraged. Last government in Punjab was coalition government of PPP and PMLN. If any party (or person) wants to form government in Punjab, they should find another party to support them and make coalition government, and should not try to fool ignorant Pakistanis by claiming that they have enough votes on their own to form government, as none have.
To form government in Punjab Assembly, a party needs 186 votes of Punjab PA members. Here is strength of each party in Punjab Assembly and one can themselves add to see how a party can form government:
http://www.ecp.gov.pk/PAPosition.pdf
PPP …: 107 (There are 4 independent members in this total of 107 MPAs)
PMLN …: 169 (There are 25 independent members in this total of 169 MPAs)
PMLQ …: .85
MMA …: … 2
PMLF …: …3
Ind …: …4
Total = 370
From above, one can see that other than buying Lotas, no single party can form government in Punjab and claim by PMLN that they could is just lies to fool ignorant.
Iftikhar: As far as Iftikhar is concerned, I think that reference of ‘corruption and nepotism’ sent by President Musharraf to SJC in March 2007 should be sent to SJC again for investigation (as last reference was ‘illegally’ stopped from getting investigated by SJC by Supreme Court). If Iftikhar is found guilty of allegations in that reference than he should be put in prison for life along with his crook supporters, as they together have harmed Pakistan more than any enemy of Pakistan could have harmed. To see farce morality of Iftikhar, Kurd, lawyers, Journalists, Politicians, and goons behind Iftikhar, one should see ‘Jawab Deh’ program and think.

[[/youtubevid][](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVdN10RtqxI...feature=related)Judiciary: Judiciary should be independent and free from influence from government, and all appointments should be on merit using exams and reputation of lawyers selected by Public Service Commission, and should be independent of government interference … further, all promotions in Judiciary should be on merit and seniority. Law should be made such that Judiciary should only concern themselves with providing civil justice (excluding cases where National security is involved) and should not interfere in government policies and running of the country. There should be independent ‘Judiciary investigating body (consisting of judges, corruption and intelligence personals’ that should look into any mal-practice and corruption in Judiciary. Any person not accepting the verdict of court could take his case to ‘Judiciary investigation body’ with complain, and if that investigating body could not find any mal-practice or corruption in verdict, than that body should charge the cost of investigation from complainant (depending on real cost, financial standing of complainant and nature of case) and complainant should have no choice other than to accept court verdict. If complainant tries to make verdict as public issue than complainant should get further fine, prison sentence, and should get barred from holding public office for life.](“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJWj0Rq83K0...feature=related")]("http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQDSD2eKx8E...feature=related”)
