my brother in laws wedding is in 4 days and I haven’t bought any gift for him and his wife.. I asked my mother a month back and she told me that shes giving salaami (10-15k) which is enough.. so I don’t have to buy.
now my friends are telling me that I should buy something this is not good.. so what do I get???

are you married yet or not? if you are then you and your husband should get a gift together. If you're not then you could give a small gift but give it together with the salami your mum gives, like put both in a gift bag

the wedding is in a different city, so I shud take the present along as my mum would give it there.. or should I give when they are back home??

U shud give a seperate gift, it should be a thoughtful gesture and it will help you build a good bond with the new family.
