Prepping your feet!

Prepping your feet for all the pretty summer sandals? Do apply a good sunblock on your arms and feet and reapply every 2 hours. You don’t want to be left with tan marks and tri-colored feet.

  • soak your feet in warm water, add a spearmint tea-bag and a tablespoon of olive oil.

  • peppermint footcreams and foot scrubs are instant pick-me-uppers!

  • keep your nails trimmed and very clean

  • let your nails ‘breathe’ inbetween nailpolish applications.

  • this summer all shades of pink and coral are IN!

  • use heavy footcreams right after you’ve sloughed-off dead skin with either a pumice stone or footscrub.

  • wear the prettiest, colorful sandals and buy atleast 2 every week :@:

Who will finance two pairs every week?:frowning: I have been buying one ever two weeks though:aisha:

Gina, I have lotssss of dead and dry skin on my feet. Getting married in early June and I'm so worried cos of them! They looks so bad and i have tried ubtan for a month but i didnt see a difference.. any other products i can use? I heard about alessandra pedix go lightly for the removal of dead skin, any reviews on it or anyother similar products?

Re: Prepping your feet!

^ You need to soak your feet in warm water and rub them with a pumice stone REGULARLY. I find that works much better than any lotions/ potions...though you may want to purhase a skin softener if they are really rough. Avon do a really cheap one that works wonders :)

Thanks a lot MC.

I have tried soaking my feet in warm water and using stone, but it cause redness all over the feet, appears even more rough. What am I supposed to add in the water?

Re: Prepping your feet!

^ The redness is normal if you're rubbing, and should go away...if not, you're probably rubbing to hard! ;)

I normally add a teeny bit of shampoo just to lather the water up and I also add a few drops of olive oil.

When rubbing, you're stripping away a lot of the moisture from your skin, therefore, it's important to make sure you're keeping them well moisturised again. Massage your feet with olive oil afterwards as well, along with loads of moisturiser...do this regularly, then Inshallah in time, you should notice a difference.

Thank you so much MC. will be trying it soon inshaAllah! :)

Re: Prepping your feet!

You're welcome, Inshallah all works out in time and best of luck for your wedding! :)

Re: Prepping your feet!

do you girls put sunscreen on your feet?

InshaAllah. Thanks a bunch for the wishes :)

U can also add body wash instead of shampoo
i usually add dove

Soak u're feet in warm soapy water and scrub with a pumice stone to get rid of all the dead skin. When u're feet are still damp, apply u're moisturizer.

at home I add body wash too.

At salon apart from the usual dipping and scrubbing I think the final dip in red paraffin does the wonder.

after keeping them in warm water , exfoliate with sea salt or just plain table salt ,apply some vaseline and lotion then wear socks before you go to bed. your feet will feel softer in the morning. believe me!

Re: Prepping your feet!

will try that :hmmm:
