ira, that's exactly what my boss said too! she was like, i don't respond well to high levels of iron either... but here's the thing, i used to be anemic, so i did take quite a bit of iron when i was younger to make up the deficiency. do i have too much now?
sahar, YAY! i need a pregnancy buddy! i'm hitting the gym hard right after my vacay this december- my friends who've been going throughout their pregnancies have ended up having mA such healthy, beautiful babies, with minimal discomfort.
and best of luck to you and the hubs and i hope you are successful in keeping to your conception and birth timeline (if you have one. we do because we're unrealistic and anal about these things haha) :)
Any particular reason for the gym push?
Re: prenatl vitamin
^ its to be healthier and stronger, sahar. i've read the fitter you are, the easier your recovery from childbirth usually is. i work at what is essentially a desk job, and in winters, if i don't go to the gym, i don't work out at all since it gets so cold. summertime i walk around a lot so i'm in good shape usually. basically, i want to stay active throughout as much as i can and most doctors recommend you start working out long before you're pregnant. once you are preggo, you can't just jump into it.

PREGNOVIT
Im having a hard time finding a prenatal vitamin thats halal. Any suggestions? Thanks!
i was using materna ,but one day i read its ingredients on the BOX ,on bottle they didnt mentioned it.they have geletin in it.so i talked to my doctor and she recommened me ORIFER .and tell you that vitamin was a blessing i didnt had crambs and thw whole pregnancy went smoothly:)
WOW! I was just about to start a thread with the same question in mind...
I know for a fact that the Jamieson brand's prenatal ones have no gelatin. I've yet to get that. I'm using Materna right now and I'm pretty strict on the gelatin issue so I'm thinking I should really not use it and get the Jamieson ones instead. I guess I was under the impression that gelatin could be pardoned when used as medication...
Insha'Allah I plan to get the Jamieson ones tonite!!
Re: prenatl vitamin

Re: prenatl vitamin
I'm taking Pregnacare...it says on the box that it's okay for Vegetarians.

I don't go to the gym anymore but I walk almost an hour each day, to work and daycare center and back home, so thats my exercise.
Thinking of doing pregnancy workout for the last 2 months I have.
Re: prenatl vitamin
So for someone who wasn't fit before/during their pregnancy...is during pregnancy too late to fit and healthy at all?

Never too late, you can still do some exercises and watch what you eat during pregnancy, a pregnancy doesnt mean that you are unfit to do any exercise at all. Walking , swimming is the best.
Re: prenatl vitamin
^ true. you can start anytime, sara, the most important thing is not to over-do it.
