Re: prenatal vitamin
most pre natals have gelatin in them so if you are in the US and want to avoid that you can get Sundown prenatals. Amazon.com: Sundown Naturals Prenatal, 100 Tablets (Pack of 2): Health & Personal Care
I just asked the local pharmacy to order me one..they did ![]()
Re: prenatal vitamin
I’m from Karachi Pakistan. Don’t know these available here in karachi
Re: prenatal vitamin
I used premat fa..i was in isb but shud b avlable nationally. Do consukt ur doc cuz mine recommended to use after 1st trimester.
Re: prenatal vitamin
^ That is terrible advice- unless you were taking at least your folic acid regularly before then. If you don’t have a folic acid supply built up in your system, your body cannot use it in the first few WEEKS of pregnancy when it needs it the most to prevent neural tube defects.
This is why you need your prenatal vitamins from a couple of months before you conceive- regardless of what brand it is.
Re: prenatal vitamin
^ I think the doctors there give folic acid tablets only. Maybe they recommended multi vitamins after the first trimester so that she could keep them down. To the OP, go to Agha Khan Supermarket in Clifton near 3 talwar , Sani’s Chemist at Marriott or Time Medico in KDA. Kausar Medicos should do too and ask them for pre natal vitamins.
Re: prenatal vitamin
^ that makes sense re: keeping them down. So long as her folic acid is covered, she should be good initially.
Re: prenatal vitamin
Ok thanks alot to all of u
yes I have taken folic acid last year then I stopped taking that.
Re: prenatal vitamin
Don’t stop taking the folic acid if you are trying to conceive or are currently pregnant. You can stop taking it once you are on the pre natal vitamins. Since you are in Pakistan, please make sure the pre natal vitamins have the recommended amount of folic acid, show it to a gyne. If you are trying to conceive, you may want to visit a gyne and see if your iron levels are up to par etc. as well.
Re: prenatal vitamin
Why did you stop? Folic acid does not stay in your system for long. You need to keep taking it as eastern said.
Re: prenatal vitamin
Becoz my gyane recommended for 3 months only. Ok now I will start again.
Re: prenatal vitamin
