M: but the way Valencia are playing now is full of confidence. Chelsea players were always afraid to attack and running over the field as if they’ve seen a ghost ![]()
Real lost again today away to Atletico Bilbao. They cannot find enough oppurtunites to score and they are missing Zidane. Awfully short of confidence.
In primeirship Chelsea, Arsenal, ManU and Liverpool all won their matches. Amazingly Chelsea have conceded just one goal in seven matches so far.
Real Madrid once again slipped up and lost 2-1 to Bilbao who hadn't won a match so far this season.....their misery continues.
Like Madrid in Spain, Roma has a lot of problems in Italy...after a humiliating defeat to 9-man Bologna (3-1), Rudi Voller handed in his resignation after only two weeks in office. The Roma officials have thusfar rejected his resignation

Völler resigned? that's really surprising to me although i read some rumors about the difficulties between him and Totti and Cassano.
Concerning La Liga and especially Real Madrid - as long as thes soccer players won't cut down their egos to a more or less normal size - they will never have success in any competition - i have said this before - but these players need to learn to act like a team.
Real Madrid beaten again 1-0 at home at the hands of Deportivo. After their brilliant come back in CL game against Roma, they would have hoped for a better performance. But that was not to be. Real Madrid are definately not clicking as a team. Third defeat in six La Liga games, Real are in tatters.
In premiereship, Chelsea won a tricky encounter against Liverpool but ManU dropped points at home. Arsenal are unbeaten in 48 league games.
Im just so glad to see Real messing up.
They forgot that football is a team game not a glacticos circus act.
In Italy Juventus stayed on top due to a 0-1 win. Ac Milan remained on track with a comfortable win as well. Messina are the surprise package at number two.
The big match between Roma and Inter finished in 3-3
I saw that match live. Roma after all their troubles this season did remarkably to coem back from a 3-1 deficit in second half. Did anyone see Totti’s scorcher of a free kick?![]()

I think the FIFA player of the year will be between Ronaldinho and Henry.
To me their the favourites.
I think Frank Lampard has a chance too but like M said Henry is favorite this time around. What Henry has not done is to perform to the same level for his country. whereas Lampard, Ronaldinho and Adriano etc have done that consistently.
Chelsea tasted their first defeat of the season. Arsenal kept on rolling with their 49th match unbeaten. To reach the 50 mark they will have to beat ManU at old trafford. That should be a treat to watch.
Barcelona derby which starts in a while should be interesting with Espanyol-Barcelona encounter.
Manchestar United have beaten Arsenal 2-0 and Arsenal's fabulous unbeaten run of 49 premiership games comes to an end. It was an enthralling contest nonetheless. I am not an Arsenal fan but their run was incredible. Though Manchestar United's season kick starts.
Real Madrid defeated Valencia 1-0 yesterday to gain some ground on and gain some respectability in La Liga table.
Milan vs Inter Derby in serie A that starts in a couple of hours should be great to watch.
I watched the match. It was a good match. Hats off to gunners for such a splendid unbeaten run. It had to come to an edn one day but 50 unbeaten games would have been nice. :k:
newcastle rout man city 4-3 a tense thriller @ st james’ park
this extends our unbeaton premiership run under graeme souness welldone lads, keep it up.
in all the three leagues there were top matches:
Milan vs Inter: 0-0
Real Madrid vs Valencia 1-0
ManU vs Arsenal 2-0
also in the Dutch league PSV beat Ajax 2-0
Arsenal losing was good for the premiership. ![]()
Anyway I found this on BBC site which shows the record unbeaten runs in other major European leagues
UNBEATEN RUNS
- Italy
58 - AC Milan (1991-93) - England
49 - Arsenal (2003-04) - Spain
38 - Real Sociedad (1978-80) - Germany
36 - Hamburg (1982-83) - France
32 - Nantes (1994-95)
did you ppl notice something dif in fulham’s defence on oct 30th!!!
zesh rehman ppl became the first ever brit asian to START a barclays premiership match. not bad eh! good luck top him :k: now micky chopra can do the same
Arjen Robben has scored in his first four games for chelsea since regaining fitness and all goals were simply superb. He is some serious talent ![]()
Okay ReaL madrid is back to its best. They thrashed Albacete 6-1 with almost all big guns scoring goals. Barcelona lost their first game of the season against Real Betis. Next week Barcelona meet Real Madrid. Should be a blast.
Chelsea are on top in premiereship and they have scored 6 goals over all in almost 20 odd games whole season. That is awesome record of clean sheets.
Juve lost their first game of the season too last weekend but they are still way ahead of AC milan and rest of Serie A lineups.
