Pregnant lady dying hair...

What is the verdict in this?

I’m way passed the 12 week stage… i recently had around 14 inches cut off from my hair (cos it was giving me hafki) and now i’m left with a short cute bob haircut… only thing is that my natural hair colour is quite light, but very dull and it’s making me looked all washed out and ill :vivo:.

I was thinking of maybe using a vegetable dye…what brands of vegetable dye have you people used before…??? I’ve heard it’s pretty safe to use… but is there any other alternative out there? Or shall i not bother at all?

Thanks in advance :@:

use mehndi or amla or reethas desi proof tareeqas :D j/k

Anyways I heard that vegetable dyes are not that good in color but thats for the ladies who have black color.May be it will work for you.

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

You can ask for 'ammonia free' color dye.....good hair salons use them and they are safe for pregnant women.

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

wow 14 inches! brave! very brave! and congrats!

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

go with mehndi. saw this mehndi ka dabba with hints of color in it, for hair. like magenta and red and black and what nots.

I’m a bit weary of mehndi, cos you never know what colour your hair is going to come out… and i certainly don’t want to look like my head is on fire, cos that’s what mehndi usually makes your hair look like…
I think i’m going to go with vegetable dye… i don’t have black hair so hopefully colour lagh jayega.

But even ammonia free hair dye has lots of chemicals and stuff in it… is it really safe for use? I’ll go to theslaon when i’m back home and see what they say…

Pregnancy does strange things to you… i think i’m going to mourn the loss of my hair when this is over…:hehe:

Mehndi comes in different colours?? Maybe i should give this a try then :hmmm:

Will report back with the end result. Thanks girls :@:

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair…

Ask your doc :emmy:

yeah, just for hair. almost like buying a dabba of haircolor, except it's mehndi! dunno if inglaind has any of the stuff there. saw it in a desi grocery store here

:naak:

Have you ever seen me ask for medical advice? Nope, cos i’m usually my own doc :crying:

And Mr Maroush is my doctor also, but he’s against me dying my hair in the first place…:crying:

And then Sheyny nominated herself as my doc, but she’s MIA :crying:

Desi grocers, really?? I’ve never noticed…I’ll check when i’m back … thanks!

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

Congrats, Maroush :)

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

congrats maroush.
use black henna dye --- or whichever colour you prefer.
i've seen them at drugstores, the bodyshop and lush.

I think you should listen to Mr. Maroush!

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

Ooooh congrats Maroush, must be a very exciting time for you (re. the baby!!)

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

I say why take the risk? let it be for a few more months and then once the delivery is over you can have a nice makeover ..:@:

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

my cousin got her hair dyed at bubble when she was pregnant, they lady said it was safe. i wouldn't have done it but she and baby didn't have any problem alhumdolillah.

Re: Pregnant lady dying hair...

You might see conflicting opinions on this. I personally followed my midwife's advice and got higlights done around the 28th week mark. I looked and felt so much better about myself despite the ever widening waist line.
