pregnant girls don't go out on a lunar eclipse

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

Birth defects are caused by chromosomal abnormalities at the time of conception, NOT by the sun, moon or stars :frusty:

Good lord people, it’s now 2013

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

pinks, my daughter has a very small cut at the top of her left ear. As if an ant took a bite. It looks cute though. But my father has it too on his left ear. And so does my neice. So it’s more of a genetic thing.
I think you should start looking in your family who has it too.

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

I have a funny brown birth mark on my left arm, maybe my mum also went out during a lunar eclipse

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

WTH!!! I avoided tuna rolls for the last 30 weeks??? Thats it. I’m going out for sushi tonight.

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

I love it when people say, “I don’t believe in it, but just to be safe…”

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

From this, it sounds like there are lunar eclipses like twice weekly–have I just totally been missing out on this phenomenon. Lol, how did such a (relatively) rare occurrence get such a bad rap?

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

these incidents happened 3-4 decades ago, so i guess folks back then relied more on passed-down knowledge rather then anything else… i dont know why people today still believe in it though

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

I always wonder who made this stuff up.

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

probably people looking for self-importance…

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

its not that rare, there are at least a couple of eclipses every year. pregnancies last 9 months. there is guaranteed to be at least one eclipse in your pregnancy.

Re: pregnant girls don’t go out on a lunar eclipse

And to those who still believe these things in 2013 please don’t forget the following:

do not pick up girls as you will have a girl (sigh)
don’t walk under a ladder…
avoid walking on cracks on the sidewalk
don’t look at anyone ugly
if a black cat approaches you as you leave for the hospital you best go back inside and give birth at home…simples!
don’t get off your bed for 40 days post baby because the ‘zameen cries’…
…and the list goes on and on and on.
