I couldn’t decide where to post this!
So pregnant ladies how are you finding readng namaz with your bump? I find myself sitting sometimes to pray, I havn’t resorted to sitting on a chair yet but I think towards the end I might have to as even sitting on the floor for too long is so hard for me sometimes.
Re: Pregnant and reading namaz- discomfort?
i used to say prayers while sitting on a chair in my 2nd and 3rd trimesters....but i have seen many women saying namaaz while standing n the doing proper sajda in their 9th month too...but i couldnt do it...
do what is comfortable for you!
Re: Pregnant and reading namaz- discomfort?
You can pray sitting on a chair that's how my sister prays in her pregnancy.
Re: Pregnant and reading namaz- discomfort?
Worry not my sister. Allah will reward you with 40 days of break for all the effort you are putting right now. Offer your prayers in what is the most comfortable position for you. Please do not put yours or baby's health at risk. Islam asks for obedience, not heroism (I know you know that, I am just saying in general).
Re: Pregnant and reading namaz- discomfort?
Islam is a religion of practicality...since namaaz is NOT forgiven in any circumstance, Allah has given to most flexibility in it's offering....the most extreme case is when a person is completely paralyzed, he can still offer his namaaz [like any other person who does it in it's right format] by just moving eyelids.
so, one has the flexibility from offering the namaaz while sitting and all the way to just by the movement of eyelids.
if you decide to do the prayer sitting in a chair and if you can then may be do your recitation standing up and do the ruku and sajood and jalsa sitting in the chair. i've seen people doing that.
Re: Pregnant and reading namaz- discomfort?
i prayed while sitting down, do what is comfortable for you.
Re: Pregnant and reading namaz- discomfort?
well when i was pregnant, i used to offer namaz while sitting on dining chair, i used to offer sajda on dining table,
Re: Pregnant and reading namaz- discomfort?
Most of the people keep the routine of stand up/normal prayer till the last of their pregnancy because maybe they are told that it helps normal delivery. Well maybe it does. If you are finding any difficulty in anything about it, resort to what is convenient for you. Allah has already allowed much to the pregnant ladies to ease their life and difficulty. Just have faith and be comfortable.
Re: Pregnant and reading namaz- discomfort?
Is it only me who finds ruku while sitting being the most difficult thing. ![]()
